Best of the Northwest Awards Reception
The Business Center for Entrepreneurship & Social Enterprise and the Germantown Courier and Mt. Airy Times are joining forces to host the Best of the Northwest. “We will be honoring businesses in the Northwest with a reception where they will receive their “Best of Northwest” Award and enjoy food, entertainment and networking,” says Pamela Rich-Wheeler Executive Director of the Business Center. Small business tips to help businesses and customers maximize the holiday season will be presented by Iola Harper, a Business Center Small Business Consultant and Cicely Peterson-Magnum, Director of the Avenue Project from Mt. Airy USA. In addition, there will be speed networking from 6:00 PM – 6:30 PM. Therefore, everyone who arrives at 6:00 PM should leave with at least 10 contacts. Councilwoman Donna Reed Miller confirmed attendance and will be presenting her views on the importance of the small business community to the Northwest. The Master of Ceremonies for the evening will be Doug Henderson, who also happens to be a resident of the Northwest. Cynergy and North by Northwest are sponsoring the event.
