Sessions began Tuesday, March 19
Objectives of the program:
- Provide underserved companies with access to resources to scale their business.
- Learn how to develop a 3–5-year strategic growth plan.
- Examine how to standardize process in end-products for greater efficiencies.
The program is a combination of Live face-to-face and online sessions, and starts Tuesday, March 19 and continuing every other week through Tuesday, June 25 with the face-to-face Pitch Competition session. Weekly live sessions are 6:30-8:30 pm either face to face or virtual depending on the session. Learners will have work to complete each week following the live session using our online learning platform. Learners need to have access to an Internet connection and either a smartphone or desktop/laptop computer. Some work including financial documents is best accomplished using desktop applications.

Session 6 | Tuesday, May 28 | Virtual: Pitch Education and VSP
Session 7 | Tuesday, June 11 | Virtual: Capital – Human and Financial
Session 8 | Tuesday, June 25 | Face to Face (location TBA): Pitch Competition
You will be expected to attend all 8 live sessions and to complete each session’s work on a timely basis. Time management will be essential in order for you to be prepared to present your pitch during the 8th session on June 25.
Selection Criteria:
- Viable Business Idea.
- Strong assessment of the quality of the Business Idea (Proof of concepts or feasible).
- In one of the 3 Startup Stages: Early-stage, Venture-Funded (Growth) Stage and Late.
- Investment of 5 – 20% in business.
- Can Benefit from SBIR & STTR Services.
- 51% Of Leadership of Color (Black and Brown).
- UVP- Demonstrate the need or niche market for their product or service.
- Strong management team willing to manage the business and participate in the accelerator program.
- Have plans to remain in the region after completion of program.
- Have environmentally safe products or services.
- Adds Diversity to local economy.
- Have Business that meets the economic development goals.
- Have a working prototype or a developed product.
- Have a business plan or multiyear financial plan based around assumptions.
Fees for the Accelerator
